Boitron's right hind leg was severely damaged with ligament torn in a hauling accident. Following the amputation, Boitron lived with a prosthetic leg and stayed at a stud farm. After five years, the horse died in 1987 at the age of 11 due to peritonitis and a stomach abscess.

Josie tangled her right hind foot in the guide wire of a telephone pole, her pastern bone of right hind leg was damaged in accident. The pony was amputated and has been living with a prosthetic leg at Dr. Redden’s International Equine Podiatry Center for 18 years.

Saratoga Six shattered sesamoid bone of left front leg in bad step during workout. The horse Six recovered after her surgery and subsequently stayed at the stud farm. After 20 years, she died in the barn in 2006 at the age of 24.

In January 2000, Seattle Slew was found unable to stand or lift his head due to compression of his cervical spine (commonly known as cervical instability syndrome). He underwent two advanced surgeries in 2000 and 2002. He passed away peacefully in a stable in 2002 at the age of 28.

Riley was a buckskin Quarter Horse mare who arrived at the Best Friends Animal Society with a severe njury on her left hind leg. After initial fusion surgeries failed and led to a bone-deteriorating infection. Riley's left hind leg was amputated in 2008, with prosthetic leg. After a year, was put down because of multiple complications.

Molly was stranded in the barn for weeks when Hurricane Katrina hit southern Louisiana in August 2005. She was rescued and taken to a farm where abandoned animals were stockpiled. A pit bull terrier on the farm attacked Molly, inflicting severe gnawing wounds on her right front leg. The severe wounds became heavily infected, entirely cutting off the blood flow to her right front hoof and causing the tissue to fail. Molly underwent an amputation in 2006 and lived with a prosth

Chelokee sustained a severe dislocation of the sesamoid bones in his right front ankle. The injury destroyed all supporting ligaments, making his joint entirely unstable. The horse underwent fetlock arthrodesis surgery and subsequently resided at a stud farm. After six years, the horse was euthanized in 2014 due to chronic pain in the left front foot.

Bet On A Star underwent an amputation in 2017 and has since been living with a prosthetic leg. He has now become a therapy horse at "Hopes, Dreams and Horses."

Triple Vodka developed a severe and life-threatening infection in his right front coffin joint. Then underwent an amputation in January 2022 and lived with a prosthetic leg. However, the horse was euthanized in October 2022 following a severe colic episode.

Amir suffered a severe pasture accident, likely from being kicked by another horse. The impact left his left front leg completely shattered from the knee. Following the amputation in January 2021, Amir returned to the ranch and lived a fulfilling, active life after 5 months recovery.
